Brews
This year, we'll invite 16 of the top microbreweries from the Pacific Northwest and northern California to participate in our festival. Try all the Fresh Hop Ales (and ambers, hefeweizens, stouts and more), plus food, wine, homebrew demos, a cigar tent & dancin' in the streets to bands The Blue Tropics & The Shreds!
Fresh Hop Ale Competition
For a brew to be considered a "fresh hop ale" for the festival, it must be produced with hops that were picked no longer than 24 hours prior to brewing. At the fest, breweries compete for first, second and third place "fresh hop ale" as well as a "most pours" award to crown the crowd favorite. Local & expert judges meet just prior to the festival to rate the beers on appearance, aroma, taste, mouthfeel, and aftertaste, using the Beer Judge Certicfication Program (BJCP) criteria. A "most pours" award crowns the crowd favorite after the event. Vote with your tastebuds...
